Back to blogParlays Explained
A parlay combines multiple selections into one bet. For the parlay to settle successfully, every included selection usually has to be correct.
What is a leg
Each selection inside the parlay is called a leg.
Why returns look larger
Combining selections can increase the displayed possible return because more things must happen.
Why risk increases
If one required leg does not settle successfully, the whole parlay can lose.
Read every leg
A parlay should be reviewed as several separate decisions, not one simple button.
Parlay checklist
- 1Count every leg
- 2Check each market
- 3Review the total stake
- 4Understand one missed leg can affect the whole bet
- 5Do not treat a larger return as more likely
